I’m just amazed at how relaxed high schoolers are in front of the camera.

Chelsea made my life easy on this photo shoot, because she was comfortable, which in turn, made me comfortable.

Plus, she just a sweet young lady.  Very friendly.

You did a super job, Chelsea!

Congratulations, Miss Senior!!

The world is your oyster!

All the best,

E.

Prom 2010

I just love photographing high schoolers.

They really are great fun.

And, so is Prom.

Thank you, Parents, for allowing me to photograph your kids on their special day!  (Not all, but most of these pictures are of Seniors about to attend their high school’s very first Senior Prom!  How exciting it that?!)

This was so much fun, I’m already planning for next year!

Rizers

I had the great privilege of photographing some of my favorite people, recently.

I knew we’d laugh a lot.

They’re kind of silly folk….

The weather was nasty and the lighting, well, not that great, but since we were on a strict time schedule, we muddled through somehow.

These are just a few of my favorites from the day.   They’re not your typical family portraits, but I love them because they show the personality of my friends.

(I also took some that are a little more traditional, if you will, that I haven’t posted.  But, if you are interested, you can go to my galleries link–at top of this page–to see the Rizers’ full gallery of pictures in the Portrait Gallery section.)

Gotta love that brotherly love!

Thanks, Rizers, for the opportunity to photograph your lovely, funny, heart-warming, silly, endearing, goofy family.

Country

I grew up in the country…

I now live in the city…actually, in the suburbs…however you look at it, I live surrounded by a lot of concrete.   So, needless to say, I love going back home to visit.  I love being surrounded by the wide-open spaces, very little concrete, and air that I’m not afraid to breathe into my lungs.

It’s a favorite place for me to use my camera.

Barbed wire is, for some odd reason, a favorite of mine.

I don’t know why I love barbed wire so much, but I do!

Sunsets aren’t too shabby, either….

Sunsets and barbed wire together are even better!

I’ll post more from the country, soon.

Football

The coaches of our local high school football team have very graciously given me the opportunity to stand on the sidelines for all the football games, to document their season.  It has been a pure pleasure, to say the least.  I get a real kick out of taking action shots and pride myself in giving back to the booster clubs.

I love the sights, smells (well, up to a point), and sounds of being that close to the action.

Sports Photography is so much fun!

And, I think the boys and parents enjoy having me around to document each game, or at least I hope they do.

And, guess what?! This has a been a winning season, so far!

Here’s hoping we go all the way to State!

Go Chargers!

Country Boy….

Actually, this little guy lives in the big city, but he sure enjoys his time out in the country.

And, I enjoy taking his picture out there, as well.

The photo above was actually one of my very favorites.

The lighting was exactly what you see–this was not an effect created by using Photoshop techniques.

It was pure lighting bliss!
